their alternator that cause it to fail prematurely.  Level 7 has worked with Powermaster to resolve these issues.  The alternator that comes from Holley suffers from two issues.  The primary issue is that the pulley ratio is off substantially and over spins the alternator.  The second issue is that they have an internal grounding problem and causes them to search for ground and will burn out the voltage regulator.  Our replacement alternator comes with an external grounding stud and can be grounded to the engine with a 4awg cable.  It also comes with a 3\" pulley which slows the rpm down to correct the pulley ratio issue.  These alternators dyno at roughly 145-amp output at idle so there is no need to worry about output at idle.
